Christian Drug Rehab

Christian Drug Rehab - Just Do It!!

It dawns on us gradually that drug rehab is what we need.

Maybe you aren’t even sure now, whether Christian drug rehab is for you.

Okay, let’s think about this.

If your world is crumbling down around you because of your actions, that’s hint number one.

If you believe that everyone else except you is all messed up, that’s hint number two.

If drugs or alcohol are interfering with your ability to enjoy the smallest moments of a happy life, that’s hint number three that it’s time to think about a drug or alcohol rehab program.

Right now if you have that poison stuff (alcohol, street drugs, abused prescription drugs) in your system, that means they’re in your brain, too.  You may not have the full capacity to know yourself whether rehab is for you.

Talk to a rehab program.

Talk to your priest or pastor.

Talk to your spouse.

Talk to your family.

Go to an AA meeting.

Now is your chance.

Now is your chance at the rest of your life.

Now is your chance to add years of health and happiness to your life.

I know, things may not be looking too good right now.  Been there, done that.  But trust me.  Brighter days are ahead.

God knows you can succeed at being sober.  Sometimes fate throws us in a ditch (or a series of ditches), and the real test is whether we have the respect for ourselves and our Lord to crawl out.

One inch at a time.

One foot at a time.

One yard at a time.

I assure you that this can be done.  Go to an AA meeting and meet the folks who are succeeding at sobriety one day at a time.

God wants what’s best for you and wants you to enjoy a beautiful and prosperous life.  You CAN succeed!  Getting into drug rehab is the first step.

Get Into Rehab, Read, and Learn

One thing for sure.  Christian drug rehab is not a process you do all alone by yourself.

The more you participate in the Christian and recovery community, the stronger you will become.

Positive thinking is the key to it all. Knowing that your better life awaits you, and living that life every day.

The more you give to others, the less you will be absorbed in your selfish self.  This is a crucial lesson.  Don’t forget that I mentioned this.  %uF04A

The most important thing you can do today is get into drug rehab, if that is what you need (ask your family and friends—don’t trust your own judgement about this!).

Call a rehab hospital or rehab program today!  Call them within the next hour!

After your treatment is scheduled, keep your head right by reading about Christian recovery.

What Kind of Rehab Program for Christians?

Because you are there as a Christian, your program becomes your own individual Christian drug rehab.

That leaves you free to first ask the questions that will get you into drug or alcohol treatment as soon as possible, and to find a program that meets your needs.

What kind of questions should you ask the rehab program staff as you interview them?…..

What type of clients do you typically serve?

Have you served clients with my particular issues?

How long is your waiting list?

When can I start?

Do you require that I be sober for a certain length of time before beginning treatment?

Do you require that any criminal charges be resolved before I begin treatment?

How long is the treatment?

What are the components of your drug and alcohol rehab program?

How many rehab clients do you serve at one time?

What type of After Care program do you have or recommend?

What would you like me to know about your rehab program?

What makes your rehabilitation program unique?

Will I have the opportunity for prayer?

Will I be allowed to bring my Bible?

With answers to these questions, you will be able to decide upon the drug treatment program best for you.

12 Steps to Addiction Recovery for Christians

As a Christian in rehab, I admitted to God that I was powerless over my addiction, and that my life had become unmanageable.

As a Christian in rehab, I came to know and believe that the divine Lord Jesus Christ could restore me to sanity.

As a Christian in rehab, I made a decision to turn my will and my life and my soul over to the care of Our Lord Jesus Christ.

As a Christian in rehab, I made for God, a searching, honest, and fearless moral inventory of myself.

As a Christian in rehab, I admitted to Christ, to myself, and to another person the exact nature of my wrong-doings.

As a Christian in rehab, I was entirely ready to accept the grace of Jesus Christ and to have Him remove all these defects of character.

As a Christian in rehab, I humbly asked Christ to remove my short-comings.

As a Christian in rehab, I made a list of all persons I had harmed and became willing to make amends to them all.

As a Christian in rehab, I made direct amends to these people, and wherever possible, shared the Good News of salvation through Christ, except when such amends were not possible, or when it would harm others by doing so.

As a Christian in Rehab, I continued to take personal inventory, examine my conscience, and when wrong to promptly admit it.

As a Christian in rehab, I sought through prayer, reflection, and gospel study, to improve my conscious contact with Jesus Christ, praying only for knowledge of His will for me, and the power to carry that out.

As a Christian in rehab, having had a spiritual awakening and a recognition of personal salvation through Christ and these steps, I tried to carry these messages to others and to practice these principles in all my affairs.

Christians Have Advantages in Recovery from Substance Abuse

Christians in drug rehabb have a far greater chance of successfully beating their substance abuse addiction than those of little Faith.

You may take being a Christian for granted, but this is really like having an arsenal of secret weapons when it comes to triumphing over addiction.

Here’s why:

Drug rehab for Christians is a partner process.  You know you have God on your side.  You know that God is focused on your best interests.

Others support you.  You have the fellowship and spiritual support of the entire, worldwide Christian community behind you.

You don’t have to do it all yourself.  You can lean on the Lord.  You can take strength from the Lord, even when you have none of your own.

Christian drug rehab is about seeing the big picture.  Because Christians believe in eternal life, that’s Christ’s promise to us, we are taught to look beyond Life’s everyday ups and downs.

We know with certainty that our Faith will show us the way to deal with Life’s struggles in ways that will make us stronger, more capable, and more available to Christ’s healing Grace.

Christian drug rehab is about being the person you want to be.  You are a good person.  You have good intentions.  You want to be kind and do the right thing.  You want to serve yourself, your family, and the community of God.

Hard to believe, I know, but not everyone cares about such things.  You are different.  You care.  You know that sobriety and substance abuse treatment are giant steps in the right target direction.

God’s love is visible to you now.  Today, at this moment, you are presented with the opportunity of sobriety and the chance to lead a clean and sober life.  Christ is guiding you in this direction.

You don’t have to worry.  There is One who has all power— that one is God.  You always have a friend.
